Kansas Sports Betting Goes Live with Soft Launch
On Thursday at noon, DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, PointsBet, and Barstool sportsbooks rolled out the red carpet for Kansas players and began accepting bets. The soft launch will last seven days, with full-service betting from September 8th, just in time for the 2022 NFL and college football seasons.
FanDuel to Launch New TV and Streaming Network
FanDuel owner, Flutter Entertainment, has announced it will launch a new TV and Streaming network in the US. The service will launch next month and will be distributed through major cable and satellite TV distributors, including YouTube, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, and Hulu. The service will be free to download for existing customers and include content from sporting stars, The Ringer Network, and More Ways to Win.
FanDuel's Chief Commercial Officer, Mike Raffensperger, said of the new products; "FanDuel TV is the first network designed from the ground up to be watched by viewers with their phone in hand…We intend for FanDuel TV to sit at the intersection of live sports and interactive content; our goal is to provide fans compelling programming to watch and wager on in tandem with our mobile app."
Nevada Gets First New Casino in 20 Years
Legends Bay Casino, Nevada, has opened its doors this week, making history as the first land-based gambling venue to launch in the state in over 20 years. The site opened on August 30th and is an 80,000-square-foot establishment. It is operated by Olympia Companies.
Chair and CEO of the company, Garry Goett, commented, "Our team worked incredibly hard, and we look forward to welcoming guests to the newest casino in the region in over 20 years. The outpouring of support and excitement to see Legends Bay Casino open has been incredible. Greentube and Design Works Gaming Join BetMGM
Greentube has struck a content supplier deal to see the studio's games featured at BetMGM Michigan. Michigan players will soon see titles like the Diamond Cash series of Mighty Emperor, Mighty Elephant, and Mighty Sevens live at BetMGM MI.
BetMGM has also signed an agreement with Design Works Gaming (DWG) this week to roll out the developer's content in New Jersey. BetMGM Director of Gaming Oliver Barlett said, "We are thrilled to offer DWG's creative and innovative content to BetMGM players. At BetMGM, we are committed to investing in the very best and most diverse titles and look forward to a long relationship with DWG."
