AGA: Bans "Risk-Free" Terminology and Releases New Guidance for Protection of College-Age Bettors
The American Gaming Association has updated its Responsible Marketing Code for Sports Wagering, banning members (the AGA comprises commercial and tribal casino operators and supplies in the US) from using "risk-free" in advertising.
This is the most significant update to the code since it was first created in 2019; it also introduces other standards, including:
- The requirement to review and update the code yearly,
- Prohibition of college team sponsorship and NIL deals with amateur or college athletes,
- Age restrictions on those featured in gambling ads to 21+
- Changing references to the "legal age of wagering" to 21+
The changes take immediate effect, although operators have until July 1st to meet full compliance.

Game of the Week
Capital Gains Slot: AGS, RTP: 95.96%
This week, we're bringing you a reinvented classic that's trending at US online casinos. Capital Gains is a high volatility, fixed jackpot slot that delivers retro vibes and maximum payouts of 2,000x your bet. We're calling it a classic, but don't be fooled into thinking this title is all about the base game; there's also wilds, a prize picker option, free spins bonus, a re-spins feature, and jackpot prizes up for grabs!
The action starts on 5x3 reels with 243 ways to win. To begin making wins, you'll need to line up 3+ matching symbols on the reels, left to right. The bonus vault symbol pays both ways. Scoring 3+ bonus vault symbols triggers one of two bonus rounds (pick a vault to reveal which you get); the free spins or money charge bonus feature.
If you get the free spins, you'll randomly be awarded 6, 9,12, or 15 spins with an additional 50, 100, 150, or 200 wild symbols added to the reels. The round can be re-triggered any time 3 bonus symbols land on the reels, leading to potentially unlimited free spins!
The money charge bonus feature starts with 3 re-spins. During the re-spins, you'll land more money charge symbols with coin payouts of 50 up to 75,000 credits attached. Every time a new money charge symbol lands, it locks, and the re-spins reset to 3. You can also win one of the game's jackpots by landing money charge symbols showing a jackpot prize instead of a coin win. The round ends when you run out of spins or fill all 15 reel spaces with money charge symbols.
What's great about this slot, aside from the action-packed gameplay, is that you can also trigger the money charge bonus from the base game by landing 6 money charge symbols on a single spin! Ready to play? Then load up the reels at any of these top AGS online casinos and play from $0.50-50!
