Alabama Considers Gambling Legalization: SB310
Alabama’s Senate has passed Senate Bill 310, which would see online sports, horse racing, and casino gambling expand throughout the state. The bill introduces the Alabama Gaming Commission, which would take the lead, overseeing the new laws and implementation of gambling regulations and licensing (licenses will cost $5-35mil) and proposes a tax rate for operators of 25% on slots, 20% on sports, and 35% on other games. Senate Bill 310 will now move to the House for the next round of voting.
